Heaven Sent

And I crawl across the cold bare ground
there came a light from up above
the warmth I felt across my skin
My heart slowed down the beats within
I heard a voice that called to me
It said I'm special and to always be me
To not give in
to misery
It said to bearthe with new young lungs
and to savor the moments
as they pass
To cradle the spirit within myself
that cries only tears that drip within
This pain will heal as I live out my life
my destiny is coming
I must dust off myself
There is an arm reaching to help me live
This life that I know
I must begin
Rise up to the light
and begin this day
on bended knee
along side of me
for you are my equal
and you are beautiful.
